My cable ties solution took 6 months to get right
I tried using velcro straps behind my TV stand but they kept sliding off. Finally switched to adhesive cable clips from the dollar store and they cost me $3 for a pack of 20. Has anyone else found a cheap fix that actually stuck?

The dollar store ones are actually the same stuff as the name brand Command strips most of the time. Just gotta press them hard against the surface for a good 10 seconds before you hang anything on them. That little trick saved me from buying the expensive 3M stuff every time.

Peel the backing off slowly too, that helps keep the adhesive from bunching up. Dollar store ones fail more from bad application than bad glue in my experience.
