Velcro strips made my cord nest worse, is labeling actually worth it?
I tried those sticky Velcro tie wraps on my TV stand last Tuesday and now every cord sticks to every other cord like a messy spider web, worse than before. Took me 20 minutes to unplug one HDMI just to swap my laptop over. Do you guys bother with colored labels or zip ties per device, or is the chaos just part of the deal here?
Ugh, tell me about it! I did the exact same thing last month and ended up ripping the whole mess off my desk in frustration. The velcro just grabs everything, including the cords you didn't even touch, and then it becomes one giant tangled glob. I finally gave up and just used plain old zip ties, one per cord, and left the labels off. Honestly, the colored tape markers I tried faded in like two weeks anyway, so what’s the point. Now I just accept that behind my PC it’s a jungle and I only mess with it when I absolutely have to. The chaos is real, man, and sometimes it’s just easier to live with it than fight it.
