Vent: That velcro strap trick ruined my charging cable in 2 weeks
Saw a post about using thin velcro strips to bundle cables. Thought it was genius. Wrapped one tight around my phone charger near the plug end. Two weeks later the rubber casing was cracked and wires were showing. Learned the hard way that tight wraps create stress points. Anyone else kill a cable trying to be neat?

Did my velcro trick solve cable mess or just make confetti?

The 3M brand velcro strips are actually designed to be cut with scissors, not snapped by hand like you would with duct tape. Ive made that mistake before, @skyler_kim, and yeah, it turns into a pile of fuzzy confetti pretty quick. If you used industrial strength velcro, the adhesive backing can also peel off in chunks if you pull too fast. Did you try peeling the backing off slowly or using a heat gun to loosen it?
