Stopped guessing cable lengths and my van got way easier to load

Used to just eyeball every run and always ended up with 40 feet of scrap per house. Started writing down the actual run length on the wall plate before I pulled, and my scrap bin dropped by half in about 3 weeks. Last Tuesday I finished a two-story in Mesa with one short piece left over. Now I want to know if anyone else marks runs before pulling, or am I just late to the party?
