Used to scotchlock everything until a service call humbled me
I was redoing a junction box in a 1990s house near Portland and found three dead shorts from my own work from two years ago. The homeowner showed me the melted splices and asked why I didn't just use wagos like everyone else. Any of you guys switched over and never looked back?

Oh man, I gotta disagree here. In my experience, wagos can be a headache in their own way if you're dealing with high heat or really tight boxes. I've seen more than one set of wagos crack from vibration in older homes with loose wires.

Did I just get lucky with my wagos then... or am I just not looking close enough to notice the cracks?
