My desk cables went from 19 down to 3 in one Saturday, and I'm honestly not sure it was worth it
Six months ago I counted 19 cables running behind my desk, and after one full Saturday with zip ties and a $24 raceway kit I got it down to 3 visible ones. The clean look is nice, but here's my problem: every time I unplug my laptop or swap a monitor, I have to cut ties and redo the whole run. So one side of me says clean cables are worth the hassle, and the other side says a loose pile you can yank around freely is the smarter setup. I keep flip flopping on which desk I'd rather sit at, the pretty one or the practical one. What pushed me over was unplugging my webcam and dragging my whole monitor stand off the desk. So where do you all land, do you bundle everything tight and deal with the hassle, or leave some slack so you can move stuff?
