My uncle told me zip ties were fine for my tv wall, 3 months later I had a rats nest back there
He swore by them for his own basement bar build so I used about 40 on the back of my 65 inch in my apartment. Problem is every time I added a Roku or swapped an HDMI I had to cut the whole bundle open and it looked worse than before. Anyone got a fix that survives adding one new cable without starting over?
Forty zip ties on one TV is wild, your uncle owes you an apology for that advice. The real issue is every cable is locked in place so a single swap means cutting the whole thing apart and redoing it from scratch. Try velcro straps in a few spots instead, they hold just as tight but you can peel one open, add your cable, and wrap it back up in seconds.
