Read that the average desk hides about 10 feet of cable, so is hiding it even worth it or should we just deal with the mess?
I saw a stat last week from a home office setup blog that said the typical desk setup has around 10 feet of cable stuffed behind it, which surprised me because mine looks closer to 25. Now I can't decide if I should drop $40 on a tray and sleeves or just accept that the spaghetti behind my desk in Denver is normal. Curious where people land on this, is buying gear to hide cables actually worth it, or does it just move the mess somewhere else?
Consider how often you actually move things around down there, because a tray and sleeves make it a pain to unplug or swap a cable later. If your setup changes much, the mess is honestly easier to live with than gear that fights you every time. Mine only got tidy once I stopped messing with it, and that was worth more than the $40.
