Pro tip: a guy on a bench in Portland said he only uses JIS drivers on Japanese cameras, now I'm torn
I watched him open a Canonet QL17 with a JIS driver and not a single screw head showed a mark, which made me feel bad about the chewed up heads on my own bench work. But another tech swears the difference only matters on older bodies and that a good fitting Phillips does the same job. So which side are you on, do you keep a full JIS set around or just grab whatever is closest?
