Swapped my spanner set for a heat gun and never looked back
Used to fight frozen lens rings with spanners and grip tape for years, wrecked a Canon FD mount that way back in 2018. Then an old tech in Portland told me to try a heat gun on low, like 200 degrees, for 40 seconds before touching anything. Now I loosen every stuck helicoid that way, and I've saved at least 6 lenses that would've been scrap. Anyone else sworn off brute force once they tried controlled heat?
