Bought a $60 sleeping pad, returned it for the $140 one after one night at Lost Lake
I figured the thin foam pad would be fine for a quick trip, but my hips hit the ground by 2 a.m. at Lost Lake and I froze. Swapped it for the insulated inflatable model and actually slept through the night on the next outing. Anyone else find that spending double on a pad is worth it, or was I just being soft?
$140 at Lost Lake could've bought you a decent whiskey and a hotel room, just saying. My cheap pad has done fine for three seasons of car camping, you just gotta learn to sleep on your side. But hey, if the fancy one means you actually sleep, that's your money and your back.
