Can we talk about using hot glue vs. duct tape for cardboard forts? I've got two camps pulling me apart here.
Last month my nephew and I built a two story castle in my garage. I used hot glue for the joints because I wanted it to hold up, but the whole thing collapsed after three days because the glue got brittle. My buddy swears by duct tape for flexibility, but I tried that once and the tape peeled off after a week. Which method do you think is better for long term cardboard structures that kids actually play with?

Have you tried sacrificing a roll of packing tape to the cardboard gods yet? That's the only thing that held my nephew's fort together through a whole week of "tornado drills.
