My manager told me my 'professional' emails sounded like a robot from 2003
Got a note after a client call last month. Said my follow-up was 'overly formal and stiff'. I was using phrases like 'per our conversation' and 'please advise'. Switched to just writing like I talk. 'Here's the thing we discussed, let me know your thoughts.' Client response time dropped from 3 days to a few hours. Anyone else get weird feedback that actually helped?

Totally agree with @holly_williams. Corporate speak is just noise. Plain words get stuff done.
