Picked the steady kennel job over grooming school in 2018 and I still think about it
Back in 2018 I had to pick between taking a steady kennel job at a vet clinic in Naperville or going to grooming school full time. The kennel job paid $14 an hour and the school wanted $6,500 upfront, so I went with the paycheck. Three years later I was still cleaning cages and watching the groomer there do the work I actually wanted to do. I ended up paying for school anyway, just later and with less savings. Did anyone else take the safe check first and have to circle back to the thing they really wanted?
