Can we talk about caption text on cat memes? A breakdown in Cleveland changed my whole method
I was at a friend's place in Cleveland two weekends ago, and he runs a meme page with about 40k followers. He looked at my cat meme and said the caption should come after you crop the pic, not before, because the text placement changes how people read it. He spends maybe 15 seconds per meme and still gets more shares than me. So now I'm stuck: is heavy caption planning worth it, or does quick and sloppy win with cats? Where do you all land on reading the caption first vs just slapping it on?
