I laughed at the 'cat tax' meme trend until my own cat pulled a stunt last Tuesday

I always thought those 'pay the cat tax' memes were just a lazy way to get likes, you know? But my orange tabby, Finn, knocked a full cup of coffee off my desk right onto my keyboard last week. I snapped a pic of him sitting in the guilty spot with this smug look, and when I posted it with a caption, people actually started sharing their own coffee disaster stories. Has anyone else had a meme format they hated suddenly work out for them in a weird way?

@patel.daniel right?! The cat tax feels like a secret handshake at this point, Finn turned my whole morning routine upside down with that trick. Now I'm over here taking pictures of my cat holding a spoon just to get people to laugh at his little gremlin face.
