My cat memes went from 3 likes to 200 after I changed one small thing
For about 5 months I was posting cat memes in our group chat and they would get maybe 3 or 4 pity likes, mostly from my mom. Then two weeks ago I started adding a tiny text caption in the bottom corner instead of slapping big bold Impact font across the whole pic, and my last 4 memes hit 200+ reactions each. Is it just me or does the smaller caption style actually land better with people these days?
Man, those pity likes from your mom hit home for me. I went through something real similar with a group chat where my stuff just died for weeks and I kept posting anyway because quitting felt worse somehow. The switch to a small caption makes total sense though, big bold text kinda screams at people and the little corner thing feels more like a joke between friends. Way to stick with it long enough to figure out what worked, most people give up right before it clicks.
