Someone told me to add text to my cat memes, biggest mistake
Guy on here said overlaying punchlines boosts shares. Spent 2 hours on one with my cat knocking over a plant, now it reads like a dad joke. Anyone else ruined a good meme with extra words?

Two hours is a long time to spend making a cat less funny. The whole joke was the plant hitting the floor, not your caption explaining why it's relatable. Text on memes is like putting a bow on a pizza, it just gets in the way.
