Why does nobody post cat memes that actually have a punchline?
I swear half the stuff on here is just a cat sitting on a box with some generic caption, no setup, no payoff. Has anyone else noticed the quality drop since that big meme template purge last spring?

That whole purge thing messed everything up. People got so used to the old templates that now they just slap a cat photo on a blank background and call it a day. The best cat memes used to have that surprise twist at the end, like the cat knocking something over or giving that dead stare after a long setup. Now it's just cute pictures with captions like "me when I see food." I miss the days when someone would spend actual time crafting a joke about a cat's weird behavior, not just posting a random screenshot.
