My neighbor Ken changed how I think about charging to 100 percent every night
Ken has been driving a Chevy Bolt in Phoenix for 4 years now and he told me he only charges past 80 percent when he's doing a road trip. He said his battery health screen still shows 96 percent, which made me feel dumb for topping mine off every single night for the past 2 years. I always thought a full charge was just free range and never thought about the heat plus the top end wearing things down. So now I'm testing the 80 percent thing for a couple months, has anyone here actually seen a real loss from charging to full all the time?
