Overheard a guy at a charger complaining about his battery at 30%

Stopped at an Electrify America station near Sacramento last week. Guy next to me was on the phone, said his range dropped 40 miles overnight when it got cold. He blamed the car. I get it, winter hurts everyone. But he also had tire pressure low and was blasting the heat at 80. I mentioned preconditioning and checking the door sticker for PSI. He shrugged it off. Anyone else see folks blame the pack before checking the simple stuff? What's your go-to cold weather tip that actually keeps range up?
