Warning: my CCS adapter melted after just 3 fast charging sessions at that EA station off I-5 in Bakersfield

I spent like 4 hours on the phone with Electrify America support trying to get them to admit the handle was running hot before I just gave up and ordered a different brand's adapter, anyone else dealt with a faulty charging handle that fried their hardware?

Honestly, sounds like Electrify America's idea of "fast charging" is just melting your stuff faster. Tbh, I half expect their handles to come with a complimentary fire extinguisher next time. Ngl, you probably saved yourself more headaches going with a different adapter, those things get hot enough to cook an egg on a good day.

Oh man, I gotta disagree a little bit here. I've used Electrify America a bunch with my Mustang Mach E and honestly the handles have never gotten that crazy hot for me. Like yeah they get warm but no worse than a regular gas nozzle in summer. I think people get spooked by the horror stories online but my experience has been pretty solid. Maybe they've fixed some of the issues or I'm just lucky, but I wouldn't write them off completely.
