My neighbor at the bus stop told me the local diner has a secret menu item that's half the price of the regular breakfast...

Saw this older guy yesterday waiting for the 7am bus and we got to talking about food. He mentioned this place called Rosie's Diner on 3rd Street. Said if you ask for the "early bird special" you can get two eggs, toast, and coffee for $3.50 instead of the $7 breakfast plate. I went this morning and it worked. Cash only though. Anyone else got hidden menu tips around here?

Used to think secret menus were just marketing gimmicks for chain restaurants, not real diners. But I tried it this morning and the old guy was right, the food was just as good as the regular breakfast. The trick is you have to say it exactly like "early bird special" or the waitress will just give you the regular menu. Cash only caught me off guard though, had to run to the ATM down the block. Definitely going back next week, can't beat that price for a proper breakfast.

Ngl I was the same way honestly. Thought secret menus were just some dumb thing people made up to feel special or whatever lol. But a mate dragged me to this greasy spoon near his work and he did the whole "I'll have the old codger's plate" thing and bam they brought out this massive plate of hash browns and eggs for like half the price of the regular menu. Cash only got me too though, had to borrow a tenner from him. Proper changed my mind about the whole thing.
