Pilsen alley garbage pickup changed after 3 months of 311 calls
Our block always had trash piling up between pickups, but back in June I started logging every missed collection with photos and timestamps. After about 30 calls, the city actually swapped our alley to a different truck route and now it's cleared twice a week instead of once. Anyone else had luck getting their alley schedule changed, or is this a fluke?

Wait until it rains three days straight and bugs start living in that pile. Then tell me if a truck route is worth celebrating. I've seen alleys get cleaned twice a week and still look like a landfill by Friday. Thirty calls is a lot of time spent on garbage, but hey, if it makes you feel better about your block, go ahead and pat yourself on the back. Just don't act like this is some big win for the neighborhood.
