Tried the 3 a.m. walk from Wrigley to the lake, totally different city

I did it last Saturday after a show let out, took me 45 minutes with a detour past the old graveyard, and I swear the streetlights hit the potholes in a way that made me see my own neighborhood fresh, has anyone else ever done a night walk that completely flipped how they see their block?
