Update: took the CTA at 11pm for the first time and it went fine

I moved here 8 months ago from a small town and my buddy swore the Red Line was fine after dark, but I kept driving or paying for Ubers to avoid it. Last Thursday I had no choice after my car got towed in Wicker Park, so I rode from Division to Belmont and honestly it was just people going home from work. Am I being naive, or has anyone else had a late night CTA ride that actually went smooth?

Were you keeping an eye on your surroundings or just zoned out with your phone? I ask because that one ride could easily be a fluke, and the real question is whether you'd do it again next week. What was your gut telling you at the 11pm stop, that it was chill or that you just got lucky?
