Found out my local grocery store marks down meat at 7 AM every day

I was grabbing coffee at the Starbucks inside my Kroger on Monday and noticed a guy loading up a cart with discounted steaks. He told me the butcher slashes prices on stuff that's about to hit its sell-by date right when the store opens. I came back Tuesday at 7:15 and snagged two pounds of ground beef for $3.50 total. Has anyone else found weird timing tricks at their local markets?

The guy who yelled at me for recycling wrong in my building

Last Tuesday I was sorting my cans and bottles in the alley behind my apartment on Fullerton when this older guy came out and started saying I was mixing everything up wrong. He grabbed a milk jug out of my bag and held it up like I'd committed a crime. How do you handle neighbors who treat the recycling bin like their personal project?

Mixed it with some gel medium at the library workshop last Thursday and it spread better than any fresh tube I've used in 2 years, anyone else had luck reviving old paint like that?

Unpopular opinion: my old boss was wrong about broom finishing driveways

He told me to always use a stiff broom and water on every job, but after I tried a medium broom dry on a 500 square foot driveway last summer, the texture held up way better through winter. Has anyone else ditched the water trick and seen better results?

I bought a wireless panel from a random online supplier back in March, spent $200 thinking it'd save me labor on a small office job. I went to this local biz meetup in Austin last month and a guy pulled me aside after I kept asking yes/no stuff. He said, 'You're not getting real answers because you're not asking real questions.' So I switched to starting with 'What's the biggest challenge you faced...' or 'How did you handle...' instead. Now people actually open up and give me useful info instead of one word replies. Has anyone else had to unlearn how they ask questions in professional settings?

That aftermarket chademo adapter cost me $60 and a tow bill

Got a used chademo adapter off ebay for $60 last month to use at the local quick chargers near Portland. Hooked it up twice and on the third try it fried the connector on my car, had to get a flatbed for $150 to get home. Anyone else had luck with cheaper third party adapters or should i just bite the bullet on the OEM one?
