PSA: stop parking classics on concrete slabs, my 68 Impala proved it the hard way
Two winters ago I had to pick between the concrete pad behind my garage in Tucson or a gravel spot under a fabric carport I bought for $180. I went with the concrete because it looked cleaner and I figured flat and solid had to be better. Six months later I pulled the cover and found white powder all over the frame rails and rear coils, the slab sweated moisture straight up into the underside while the gravel spot stayed dry the whole time. I ended up brushing rust converter on 14 spots and I'm still mad about it. Anyone else given up on concrete, and if so what did you switch to?
