Serious question, did I ruin my Chevelle by leaving it on concrete in the garage for 7 years?
I parked my 1968 Chevelle on bare concrete in my garage in Bakersfield for 7 years and now the frame has rust spots near the rear wheel wells. One guy at the local car show swears you need a moisture barrier under any long term storage, but my neighbor says concrete does nothing and it was just our humid summers. I pulled the mats up in March and found damp spots that never dried out. Anyone else had this happen, and did a barrier actually fix it or am I just chasing ghosts?
