The debate on indoor vs outdoor storage - my '76 Mustang sat in a barn for 3 months and the rust was unreal

I tried to save money by keeping my car in a buddy's barn instead of my climate controlled unit, but the moisture did a number on the floor pans. Took me 6 weekends to grind and patch that rust, so now I'm stuck wondering if the extra cash for a sealed space is worth it - what's your take on covered vs uncovered long-term storage?

Barns can be tricky cause they trap moisture like crazy. A car cover and a dehumidifier in there would've helped a ton if you can't do climate control. Floor pans are a nightmare to fix, so yeah, sealed storage is worth it for anything long term.
