TIL humidity levels in my garage were way higher than I thought
I got one of those cheap $10 humidity gauges from Ace Hardware last week and stuck it in the corner near my '67 Mustang. Turns out my garage was sitting at 72% humidity for the last month, which is basically a rust factory waiting to happen. I read on the Barn Finds forum that anything over 50% can start causing issues with chrome and electrical connections over time. Has anyone else checked their storage space humidity and found something scary?

Man, my buddy Jim had the same wake-up call last year... he kept his old C10 in the garage for like 8 months before checking. Said the inside of his door panels felt damp and the radio didn't work anymore. Cost him a pretty penny to redo the wiring and dry everything out.
