Heard a guy at the hardware store say electric mowers can't handle St. Augustine grass
I've been running an electric mower for 3 summers now on my St. Augustine lawn in Houston. It bogs down a bit if I let it grow too tall but it still gets the job done. Anyone else run into people assuming battery tools are useless for real yard work?

Yeah that "can't handle St. Augustine" myth is getting old.

Pfft, right there with you. My first St. Augustine patch looked like a sad, patchy rug after a week and I was ready to blame the lawn, not my complete lack of a watering schedule. Turned out I was just giving it a deep fry instead of a nice mist. Still have a few bare spots from that learning experience though.

Right? I swear half the guys at the hardware store still think batteries are just for remote controls.
