My coworker's 5 minute comment on my code changed how I debug

I was stuck on a loop error for 2 hours and she said 'print the variables, don't guess them.' I tried it and found the issue in 10 minutes. Has anyone else had a simple tip that beat all the tutorials?

Dude, same here, I wasted a whole day guessing until my buddy said just log the dang thing, it's always the obvious stuff!
