PSA: That coding bootcamp I visited in Austin last month raised some red flags

I went to check out a popular coding bootcamp in Austin last week because I was thinking about signing up. The tour was fine and the facilities looked nice, but I started noticing weird stuff during the Q&A session. An instructor said most grads land jobs in 3 months, but when someone pressed for actual numbers, he got super defensive and changed the subject. Then I overheard two current students talking in the hall about how their career services rep hasn't replied to their emails in 2 weeks. On one hand, bootcamps can be a fast track if you really grind and network hard. On the other hand, it feels like they're selling a dream that doesn't match reality for most people. Has anyone else toured a bootcamp and gotten that sketchy vibe? What did you end up doing instead?

My coding skills are so bad I'd probably fail the tour.

No way, career services ghosting students for 2 weeks is wild, @victor_adams95 that's a massive red flag. Sounds like they're all talk no follow-through
