The Tuesday I accidentally deleted my whole project folder, 3 weeks before deadline
I was learning JavaScript last year, following along with a tutorial, and I opened up the terminal to delete a test folder but typed the wrong path by accident. That one command wiped out 3 weeks of work, and I sat there staring at a blank screen for a good 10 minutes before even breathing. Has anyone else lost a ton of progress and had to rebuild from scratch? How'd you handle it without giving up?

Been there. I started keeping everything on GitHub after that and now commit like every 20 minutes. It feels dumb in the moment but has saved me more than once.

Oh man, that blank screen stare is the worst feeling isn't it? My story is a bit different - I once spent a whole weekend organizing my recipe bookmarks and accidentally deleted the entire folder with all my family recipes saved from over the years. It took me three days of digging through browser history to find most of them again, and my grandmother's secret pie crust recipe is still lost to the void. What did you end up doing after that 10 minutes of staring?
