Dropped $140 on a "laptop friendly" cafe list app and every spot it sent me to had 2 outlets and no wifi
I paid $140 for a year of this app that supposedly rates cafes in Denver by wifi speed and outlet count, and it was a total waste. Three spots it flagged as great for remote work had dead outlets and one place didn't even have wifi, just a sign pointing at the library next door. The reviews in the app were over a year old, which I didn't check until after I'd already walked 20 minutes to a closed cafe. I get better info from just popping in and asking the barista where the plugs are. I canceled after 3 weeks and ate the cost since they don't do refunds. If you're paying for any of these cafe finder apps, check how fresh the reviews are first, or just do what I do now and scope the outlet situation before you order. Has anyone actually found one of these apps that stays up to date?
