Used to camp out at Starbucks for 6 hours straight, now I cap it at 90 minutes

Back in 2021 I would park at a Starbucks in Portland with my laptop and stay there from open til noon. I thought I was being productive but I was really just buying one coffee and taking up a table. Now I set a hard limit of 90 minutes no matter what. I get in, order, work, and leave. My output actually went up because I stop messing around after an hour. Has anyone else noticed they focus better when they give themselves a time limit at a cafe?

Used to hate timed limits, but you're right. They actually help.

Started setting a timer on my phone after realizing I'd spend the whole morning scrolling Instagram instead of working. Now I give myself exactly 75 minutes, break it into 25 minute chunks with a 5 minute breather between each. Picked up a cheap kitchen timer at Goodwill, that little beep has done more for my focus than any fancy app ever did.
