Dropped $90 on a Wolverine #1 facsimile and my LCS guy just smiled at me
Bought a facsimile reprint of Wolverine #1 at my local shop in Fresno for $90 because the cover looked vintage and I didn't read the fine print. Got home, checked the indicia, and it literally says "facsimile" on the inside, so I basically paid 10x what it's worth while the owner watched me do it. Anyone else get burned on a reprint thinking it was the real deal, or am I the only one who doesn't check the inside page first?

Did the shop have a no refund sign on the wall too? I did the exact same thing last year with a Giant Size X-Men #1 that turned out to be one of those $5 reprints from the 90s, and the kicker is I even bragged about it to a buddy before I got home and cracked it open. The worst part is that smile, right? They know the whole time and just let you walk out with it. Now I flip to the indicia page before I even get to the counter, every single time, no matter how dumb I look doing it.
