Paid $240 for a camera scope for drain lines, saved my butt on a Saturday call
Main line backed up at a restaurant in Tacoma and I could see it was a broken PVC joint 40 ft in instead of guessing with the auger. Anyone else feel like the cheap scopes are useless in cast iron but fine in plastic?
Sounds like the scope did its job, but the cheap ones actually do fine in cast iron if you get the light right and the pipe is clean. The real killer is a wet line with grease buildup, not the pipe material itself.
