inMy cousin swore the N64 controller was the best, and after a weekend in Toledo I finally get it
Pretty sure Toledo trip was 2001, not 99.

inAppreciation post: local bar's Mario Kart night saved our group
Four old CRTs on couches? That is wild. Most bars can barely keep one working TV going, let alone four of those heavy monsters from the 90s. I can't believe they actually set that up and let kids in to wreck grown adults at Mario Kart. The Taproom is sitting on a gold mine and they don't even know it.

inSpent $12 on a bench scraper and it fixed my pastry dough problems
Oh man my buddy had the same thing with a $6 dough cutter, used it for everything but bread for like a decade. He finally tried it on some sticky focaccia dough and was mad he waited so long. Those cheap steel tools really do just work better than all the fancy stuff sometimes.

inNgl I dropped $60 on a rotary brush kit and I regret not buying it sooner
I run the whip head on glazed stuff all the time and yeah you still gotta knock the heavy crust off first or the whip just polishes it. What works for me is taking a flat brush or even a scraper head and busting the thick top layer loose, then going back through with the rotary to get what is stuck to the walls. Those offset shelves you mentioned are the worst, I had one last month where the whip pulled out chunks I could not even see with the camera. Two slow passes is nothing compared to a callback when the homeowner fires it up and it smokes out the living room.
