Read that a typical shop sees 30% of repair tickets come back, and now I check my own work logs different
I came across a piece from a repair shop owner in Ohio who tracked his return rate for a full year and it landed right around 30% of tickets coming back within 90 days. That number got under my skin because it means nearly a third of the benches I clear end up back in front of me or somebody else. The part that stuck with me was how much of it was stuff like a loose SATA cable or a driver that got undone by the next Windows update, not real hardware failure. Anyone here actually track their own callback rate, and if so what do you do to keep it down?
