Update: counted 14 control joints at the new Amazon warehouse pour in Boise and only 2 were off
Walked the slab before the finish crew left and caught a 3/16 inch rise at joint 9 where the saw cut early, so I flagged it and they fixed it before the seal, has anyone else been getting tighter tolerances on these big warehouse jobs or is it just this GC?
That 3/16 flag before the seal is the right call, once they seal over a rise like that it never comes out. We've been seeing tighter specs on warehouse work too, usually the GC's spec book driving it. Keep walking them early, cheaper than a grind and patch later.
