Serious question, did anyone else stop buying physical games after the Xbox 360 disc drive died on them twice?
I used to refuse to buy digital games because I liked having a shelf to show off, but once my second 360 scratched a copy of Halo 3 back in 2011 I switched to downloads and never looked back, so which side are you on, shelf collectors or all digital?
My 360 ate my Gears of War 2 disc in 2009 and made this horrible grinding noise like it was chewing on gravel. I kept that broken disc on my shelf for years as a trophy of my own stupidity, because I paid 60 bucks to watch a machine destroy it. After that I went full digital and never looked back, though my shelf of empty game cases is still there collecting dust. My wife calls it my museum of things I can't play anymore, and honestly she's not wrong. So yeah, all digital now, my shelf just holds old memories and a few coasters.
