A guy at a Denver bus stop said the moon landing was faked with a fish tank, so I looked up the actual NASA photos that night
I was waiting for the 15 bus on Colfax about 3 weeks ago and this older dude with a telescope bag starts telling me the whole thing was shot in a studio. He kept saying "watch the flag, it waves." I got curious and went down a rabbit hole for like 4 hours that night reading about how the flag actually has a wire rod in it so it stays out. Now I see his point about the shadows not adding up in some shots, but the fish tank thing fell apart when I saw they left reflectors on the moon that labs in New Mexico still bounce lasers off of. Do you all have a go-to debunk or a theory you can't shake? I want the weirdest one somebody has dropped on you in person.
Feel for you on that bus ride, those guys always pick the exact moment you can't escape. I had one tell me the moon smells like gunpowder, which he swore was proof it was a set built by the military. Lasers bouncing off those reflectors is the one that always kills me too, hard to fake a mirror sitting up there for 50 years.
