The CDC data from 2023 still gets buried in every town hall
I pulled the county health records last month in Columbus and the numbers for flu shot side effects were right there, page 14. But when I brought it up at the local meeting, the moderator cut me off in under 2 minutes. Three separate people told me I was reading it wrong, but I had the PDF on my phone. Has anyone else gotten a copy of those records and hit the same wall?
Ha, I feel this one so hard. Last year I tried to share some health data at our neighborhood association meeting, and the treasurer literally said "let's table that for now" faster than I could pull up the screenshot on my tablet. My own husband later joked that I looked like I was trying to sell scrapbooking supplies to a crowd of bikers. Guess my mistake was printing the relevant page instead of the whole 80 page document, though honestly, who reads that far and doesn't get suspicious? It's like the second you have a PDF that contradicts the "everything's fine" script, you become the town conspiracy theorist. Might as well print off a tinfoil hat pattern while I'm at it.
