The JFK files release theory that keeps bugging me

I've been going back and forth on this one for a while. On one side, you got the official story that the 2017 release of JFK documents was just a routine declassification with nothing new. But I dug into those files myself last summer, and I found a dozen pages where entire paragraphs are still blacked out with vague CIA stamps. If there's nothing to hide, why are we still keeping secrets from 1963? Has anyone else actually looked at the redacted pages and come up with their own theory?

You had a friend actually go through those files? Mine too. He spent three days at the archives last year. Found a memo about "personnel transfers" in Mexico City that had every name crossed out with a marker. He said the handwriting underneath looked like it said "Valeriy" something. Really creeped him out.

That story about the crossed out names reminds me of something weird my buddy found in an old government warehouse once. He was helping clean out a storage unit and came across a folder labeled "Office Supplies - 1983" that was full of cassette tapes with no labels. When he played one, it was just static for twenty minutes and then a guy whispering numbers in Spanish.
