TIL the hard way that my car key fob dying was a 3 week rabbit hole
My 2014 Honda wouldn't start at the grocery store lot in Tulsa, so I blamed the battery, alternator, then the starter, and even had a tow truck driver quote me $800 for a new ignition. Turns out the key fob's internal transmitter had gone weak, and the $45 replacement at the dealer fixed it in 5 minutes. Has anyone else wasted days chasing a phantom car problem that ended up being something dumb and tiny?
