I finally splurged on a $65 copper watering can, and it's a whole debate
So last spring I got tired of my plastic watering can cracking every winter, so I dropped $65 on a real copper one from an antique shop in Lancaster. Honestly, it looks gorgeous hanging in my shed, and the water pours so gentle on my seedlings, but here's the catch. It's heavy as all get out when full, and I spilled half of it on my boots the first two weeks. My neighbor swears by her cheap $8 plastic one and says copper is just for photos, not practical use. But the copper one hasn't stained or broken yet, and it heats up nicely in the sun which my tomatoes seem to like. Is spending that kind of money on one tool worth the cozy factor, or am I just romanticizing the old-timey look while my back pays for it? Anyone else gone fancy on a gardening gadget and regretted or loved it? I'm trying to decide if I sell it at a yard sale or keep it forever.

Copper doesn't heat up in the sun, it just feels warm to the touch, but that's not helping your tomatoes grow.
