My brother swore split screen was dead, so we tried It Takes Two on a 32 inch TV for 6 hours
My brother kept saying nobody makes couch games anymore and we should just get a second console and play online from our own places. I pushed back because we grew up sharing one TV in our basement in Dayton, so we grabbed It Takes Two and played it on his old 32 inch set with two wired controllers. Six hours in we were yelling at each other over the mini games and neither of us looked at our phones once. The part that got me was how the game forces you to actually work together, like one person pulls a lever while the other jumps, so you have to keep talking the whole time. Online co-op never feels like that because half the time you are just running to the same checkpoint in silence. Has anyone else had a split screen game that made you put your phone down for a whole night?
