Pro tip: I lost a 3 hour save in It Takes Two because of a controller sync thing, here's how we fixed it
So my girlfriend and I were deep into It Takes Two last Saturday night, like we had just hit the part with the space monkey and we were maybe 3 hours in. All of a sudden her controller just stopped responding mid jump and her character walked right off a cliff into a pit. We tried everything, resynced the controller like 4 times, swapped batteries, even restarted the console. Turned out the problem was that her controller was still paired to the Switch in the other room and was fighting for the signal with the one we were using. I unpaired it from the Switch, deleted it from the Xbox bluetooth list, and paired it fresh, and it worked the rest of the night with zero drops. What made it worse was we had auto save off because I thought manual saves were safer, so we lost progress back to the second chapter. Now I check the bluetooth list before every session and we both save manually at every checkpoint. Anyone else run into a controller getting hijacked by another console in the house? Curious if this happens with other games too or if It Takes Two is just picky about it.
